This is the perfect example of a second chance romance done right! I absolutely cannot stand when during second chance romances the hero is off banging everyone in sight and the heroine is hung up on him and being celibate. Like sorry but they both better be getting action or neither of them. And as soon as Hawk and Everly are together again, it feels like we pick up right where they left off. It's clear that these two never lost feelings for each other. Everly had a lot of road blocks she had to work through and Hawk challenged her to face them head on. I really enjoyed this one! The Honey Mountain series is really working out for me and I cannot wait to read more!

There is a part of me that hates that I’m saying this. But I think this may be my least favorite second chance romance I have read. I’m really trying to give this series a chance but there is something about it that isn’t clicking yet for me. I don’t know if it’s the storyline, the characters, or if it’s just something. I’m holding out to see what the rest of the series brings and hoping I’ll get into them.
