Cute. Love Matt Haig’s stories. Not quite as good as the first in the series. I enjoyed elfhelm and the creatures up there. It felt a little disjointed with the girl being the source of hope. However an enjoyable Christmas read.

I think I liked this one more than the first book! Such a heartwarming & cute Christmas story!
inspiring lighthearted medium-paced

Better than The Boy Who Invented Christmas but still not great. My 3rd graders enjoyed it, though.

Thank you Goodreads for this lovely giveaway! A great read in the run-up to Christmas to get me into the festive spirit. The illustrations are lovely also and I think this will be a big hit with my younger friends :)

I liked this more than the first volume, probably because of the addition of such positive and strong female characters. I’ll probably reread this around Christmas every year now.

Lovely festive story, but one that needed to be read quite quickly to keep the pace - when I was only reading a bit every few days it felt really disjointed.

Cute.
