The first book I've read from Dickens and I'm in love. Louisa was my favorite character but I enjoyed everything about this book. This one's now one of my favorite classics.

Well this book sucked if I'm being entirely honest. When every character would talk, it was impossible to understand what they were saying. The plot was boring, the characters were boring, the storytelling was incredibly hard to decipher. All in all, terrible book. I don't really know what there is left to say. I’ve never suffered more reading a book.

I love Dickens, and this may be one of my favorites now. Clever, entertaining, and a great commentary on issues of the time, including children's education, the industrial revolution, and the birth of labor unions.

Good read! It dragged on in places for me, but the characters and their personalities grabbed me, and the ending had its fair share of emotional beats and had me "turning" pages (ebook) until the end. I also enjoyed Dickens' dry humor when it was present. Any book that can get me to read almost half of it in one sitting is worth a recommendation.
