Story of enslaved brothel worker Amara in Pompeii and her relationship with her master, lovers, past and fellow workers - page turner where you are rooting for her so much that all her pain is sometimes too much. Ending was exaggerated but doesn’t take away from the rest.

Actually really good but the ending was depressing (although that was expected) and also kinda abrupt with a few things unresolved. (3.5 stars)
Update: nvm it’s part of a trilogy the ending makes sense now.
