also I must say my fav character besides the obv Cas and Elander MUST be Nephelle. She has such an „I dont give a shit“ attitude but secretly does give one. I love her.

I must say my rating at this point is biased as fuck. I dont even know anymore if it really is worth 5 stars or if I just am so enchanted by the characters and so anxious about the plot that i dont give a fuck anymore besides knowing how the story continues.
I am 99 percent sure i wouldn’t even notice plot holes or typos or anything bad about it.
I also refuse to see anything bad - there just cant be. This series is a masterpiece and I will die on that hill.

Giving 2 stars just because the first 100 pages were good and then like 10 random chapters throughout the first 450 pages.
I only had 97 pages left in this book...but I was forcing myself to finish and I finally just had enough. I don't want to read a 600 page book just to feel all of the emotions in the last 100 pages. Which is exactly what this book and the 2nd book gave me.
I loved the first book! I gave it 5 stars. Then I started noticing by the 2nd book that I was really going to have to buckle down and try to finish the series. These books just felt way to long. They are only 500-600 pages which isn't that much to me. But by the time i reached the 400 page mark i was like wait...there's more. Everything from the second book till this book, things just dragged out way longer than they needed to be. And knowing that i have felt this since the 2nd book, i refuse to suffer through this book AND then another 2 books on top of that.

Book 3 has a lot more strategy and political intrigue than the first two so if that is your thing, this is for you! It moved a tad slower that the pace the previous books set, but that being said, I was still on the edge of my seat to find out what happens because these characters seem to be facing impossible odds.

This book had me so annoyed. It seemed like the author forgot magic she introduced the FMC as having in prior books that could have been used at numerous parts of the book, with the FMC not even thinking of using it. Sometimes it’s strengthening and overwhelming in how strong it is… other it does absolutely nothing and is so draining she collapses.
We have the MMC’s POV, but we never get it when it’s important to the plot, only when the romance needs an up-kick after it basically flatlines… which I find maddening.
Spice wise, thank goodness the spice writing itself got better… but Intimate moments that would naturally lead to sex, didn’t…. And other times sex came out of nowhere at inopportune times.
Pacing was not great. It seemed like things could have been spaced out because so many times I read, “two days later”. Also, deep wounds take WEEKS to MONTHS to heal… not 1-2 days.
The world building and unique magic system are carrying this series. I keep seeing glimpses of the whole thing and see so much potential in how cool it could be… but it has major holes.
The inconsistent writing was enough that I wanted to DNF. I didn’t, and I’m seriously questioning myself.
The twist end was pretty good!
