** AUDIBLE**

Not much different to book one, [b:Balanced on the Blade's Edge|21797289|Balanced on the Blade's Edge (Dragon Blood, #1)|Lindsay Buroker|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1396094126l/21797289._SY75_.jpg|41051808]. Protagonist falls in love with enemy. The best character is the soulblade Jacksy (Jaxxy?) with its sarcastic humour. It hasn't moved the story on much either. Slightly; but not enough to have me on the edge of my seat, or even one arse cheek along and still feels like a YA rather than the self-proclaimed fantasy. I can see its appeal to some but not for me. Sorry. On more to go. I'm not holding my breath for any great ending but I've bought the trilogy now so might as well finish it.

Loved how the focus was on a second set of characters but still tied to the first. The enemies to loves trope repeating was a bit much for my liking.

Still needs more indepth world building in my opinion, but a fun read nonetheless.

Somewhat better than the first book with building the relationship, at least initially, then sped up to 11, not set on their chemistry, will read the last one from this trilogy as I'm not sure how this will lead into it

Like the first book in the series it was very YA and predictable, but the execution of it is still really really good.
Also like the first book it iterates between characters and while I usually don't like that, the author manages to make it not just bearable but good. It's nice to see the different perspecitves of different characters in relation to one another.

I liked how this started a lot better than the first but then the middle was kind of dull. We get back story by a truth serum where the people tell their backstories. I drifted several times in the middle. Then the end was pretty good accept the very end where a decision has to be made. It almost seemed like the acceptance of him by everyone was too easy and quick. Still it was a little fun in the end and definitely seems like this was a lead in to more storylines.
