I love elephants. They are unique creatures, completely misunderstood by us, and with very complex communication systems. I think this book has portrayed their complexity and intelligence beautifully. Sadly, Lawrence Anthony has since passed away, and I am sure we lost a great animal lover and conservationist.
I highly recommend this book to all those people who love wildlife, Africa, elephants and books that add beauty and amazement to our lives.

Inspiring read for any animal lover. So much drama in 350 pages! The authors do a great job of telling the interesting stories over a prolonged period of time in a coherent read. Lots of excitement, heart warming moments, and a few tears.
