This was a fun read due to all the new cultures we got to explore. I'm not gonna lie, the plot was fine or whatever but it's the worldbuilding of these books that I can't get enough of. They're like European cultures, but just different enough to be really interesting. It's good stuff.

After a recent string of less than stellar books, this was like an oasis in the desert. I think Carey has Phedre's voice figured out a little better here than in the first one.
An awesome sequel of the series. Not as great as the first but close.
