Bored. Kinky sex will only get you so far. I was skimming for plot points and eventually lost interest in this fantasy/spy series.

Really good - not as good as the first one tho to me.

I found the second book in this series a bit harder to concentrate on then the first -- I think at some point, the influx of names and betrayals and cross-betrayals started making me think she was trying to give GRRM a run for his money.

That being said, I am glad I stuck through, if only for the plotlines it did wrap up.

I fear that Kushiel, though, might start to wear on me before I am done with the series - her ability to come through everything shining is a bit....syrupy.

I was very hesitant to read this so soon after finishing Kushiel's Dart, because I was fearful of being disappointed. A part of me assumed that this sequel couldn't possibly live up to the greatness of its predecessor; after all, how do you improve upon perfection? Now imagine my surprise to find that Kushiel's Chosen is actually even better than the first book of the series. I still can't believe it.

Love it. Want more! Jacqueline Carey really knows how to write a book in wich you dissapear into her world and only emerge when you have read the last word. The sweet sorrow, the agony, the love, the betrayal it is all there and more. Some books are made to be worshipped. This series is full of those books.
