informative slow-paced

I really enjoyed this book and how it was laid out. It was chock full of information that was very concise and in manageable, bite-sized pieces. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to do a quick brush up on their US history.

From the layout of this book to the numerous student-friendly illustrations to the very interesting content, this book was on point for middle grade students. While I didn't readily agree with all the points made in the book, I did appreciate the author's attention to detail. I think this would be a great resource to tool around with and to serve as a facilitator for further research. I can definitely imagine rich discussions coming as a result of this book.

Used it to study for college exams. Provides excellent background for middle and high school students or teacher designing learning units.

Being a US History teacher, I find this book to be a great reference.

I'm using this book with a group of ESL students from China, and it definitely works for that.
On the whole, it's a good reference book, and useful for teens and adults who need a light, sometimes too light, refresher.
