Going into this graphic novel, I wasn't really even sure what it was about. I honestly expected it to be kind of a critique/spoof of the superhero genre using a new hero named Snotgirl, and I was excited for the tbh. That is...not what this is...at all. This is a sort of murder mystery involving a fashion blogger in California and her group of terrible, superficial friends (not that she is any better). Her life is thrown into a mystery when her new allergy medication causes her to black out parts of her night at random times.
The art was fantastic, but it's a really weird romp through annoying characters and a sort of half-hearted mystery.
I think I'll be picking up the next volume, but it's definitely not at the top pf my TBR list.

I must be trash because I enjoyed this. the art style is beautiful. there are so many plots happening it gets mind-numbing. I caught myself going back a few pages to see if I missed a time stamp and didn't just assuming a few days or weeks have passed. I laughed at the horrible dialogue and made weird faces because I was so lost. since this is a series of 15, there's a lot of potential for this story. I'm rooting for Lottie and my opinion to change. overall, if your in a slump I would totally recommend this.

This was kind of awful, I don't like any of the characters (mostly one dimensional) so it was a challenge to get through but I thought the art was great. There is just one element of mystery from the beginning that reaches a cliffhanger by the end of Vol 1 which is the only reason I would be interested in reading more.
loved it. i’m absolutely obsessed. i read it in one day. i literally can’t get enough. i’m kinda totally confused but i also ADORE the characters. lottie is a HOT mess but i’m totally on her side and i just really hope things workout for her
The only decent thing about this graphic novel was the end. I feel like my brain has melted from all the idle gibberish that occurred throughout Snotgirl. That being said I do plan on reading the second volume as I kind of want to know more about this mysterious "Coolgirl".
not gonna lie! the art is so good, it's enough. but the story's fun too, and the characters are really interesting.
What a disappointment. I've enjoyed everything else O'Malley has touched so I was really looking forward to this.
But seriously, what was this? Was it supposed to be satire? A mystery/thriller? Some weird combination of both? O'Malley has already shown that he can do weird and over-the-top humour very well with Scott Pilgrim, but this missed the mark for me. The encounter with Lottie and Coolgirl in the bathroom of the whiskey bar was the only exciting scene in the five issues this trade collects, and the cliffhanger ending was kind of intriguing, but everything in between felt like useless filler.
Leslie Hung's art manga-esque art is beautiful and is perfectly suited for this title, but it unfortunately couldn't save it from the lacklustre plot. What a bummer.

So it’s been 14 issues and nothing is revealed and it starts to get annoying.
