An interesting take on fashion bloggers and the fast-paced, fake social media life! I'm guessing it's all done satirically, but I have no idea if that's true. I honestly hated all of the characters, but I think that might be the point. They're all shallow and annoying and self-centered, but they wear amazing clothes, so who cares, right?
I really liked the bright and colorful art! And the clothes the characters wear is really cute! I do kind of want to raid their closets!
I like that you have no idea if Lottie is crazy or if it's the media or if she really did kill Caroline. It's very intriguing and it made me want to keep reading to find out what happened.
But I would've liked it more if Lottie (or anyone) was more likable and down to earth and a believable person.

A lot of people dislike this opener but I kinda...loved it? Art was A+ but I also love the tone of the plot was bit disheveled.

the art style is gorgeous, i absolutely love it, but the story is just confusing? messy? im confused? however, im also intrigued & have purchased volume 2, hopefully, it’ll clear up the plot a little?
Okay so the art is gorgeous and this was a whole bundle of fun BUT I have no clue what's going on. Gotta buy volume 2 ASAP.
The actual story is alright, honestly nothing spectacular. Honestly I really enjoyed the art of the actual illustration. It's beautiful. Hoping that the story gets stronger as the comic progresses.
There are several things I liked with Snotgirl. The artwork (that are really colorful and kind of clean-messy-manga like), the concept (with an fashion blogger with green hair (love that hair!)) and how the main character is mean. What confused me what the storyline, because it jumped back and forth a lot. One page Lottie (the maincharacter) is normal, hanging with friends, and on the next she sees a girl lying "dead" bleeding on a bathroom floor - just to wake up the next day with no memory after that incident. But it kind of was cleared up in the end (to a degree) and I think I will continue with the series. If not just to see what will happens.
4/5 This was so good, and tense the entire time! It really holds onto the mood super well and has you craving the next part of the story. I love that it focuses on influencers in LA but has this really dark undertone you can’t really put your finger on yet.
I’ve seen a lot of people complain the character’s are vapid or they don’t understand what’s going on in the plot (which is harder for me to understand because it’s pretty clear if you’re paying attention) but all in all I think that’s the point. I think we, the reader, are supposed to feel kind of alienated and out of the loop of this excessive, materialistic, sometimes dark lifestyle most of us don’t have experience in.
Excited to see where it goes.
