I had my eyes on this one for quite a while! I absolutely loved the cover and my edition has textured letters on them <3 I love the colors on this one and once again I really liked the art style haha. The art style in comics and graphic novels is so important for my enjoyment and I like taking a little peak before deciding on buying one. As I said, I really liked the art style in this one.

While reading Snotgirl I realized I didn't really know what it was about haha. I don't remember why I was interested in this one in the first place but I'm so happy I picked it up. Snotgirl is about a fashion blogger (love that), with pretty severe allergies (hence the title). Her friends are pretty horrible friends and I was so annoyed with them, I really felt for our main character even though she might not be the most likeable character out there. There were quite some mysteries going on and I'm still not 100% sure on what happened haha. I'm super curious as to what happens in the second volume, especially after that ending. Apart from the 'main story' there were also a couple of other smaller storylines and I'm very interested to see where they will be going.

3.5 to a 4 I guess? I actually liked this more than I thought I would. Certainly has a bit of a Scott Pilgrim fantastical vibe to it, though I generally wouldn't compare the two.

Not sure what I just read....Very confused but also intrigued. Lottie is horrible and I’m not sure what the story line is but I might continue

Lottie Person is a super hot L.A. fashion blogger with shitty friends, an amazing intern, and a serious allergy issue that may be the blame for an accidental murder. (graphic novel/funny/AAPI author)

REVIEW

As a big fan of Scott Pilgrim I went into Snotgirl with all the hope in the world and absolutely nothing. All the charm and sarcastic humor consistent in Scott Pilgrim is definitely present in Snotgirl but reading Snotgirl I was either 100% bored or tripping balls which...the latter was intentional. I literally sat there and was like…..Im probably not gonna explore the rest of this series and then BOOM! A legit cliffhanger! A cliffhanger where so many “bro what?” moments happen at once and then all of a sudden the credits start rolling!!!!! So who knows! P.S. love esther

what the heck was that.

ok, so at first i wanted to hate it. lottie is an insane caricature of a person. she's what old people think millennials are. totally self-obsessed and materialistic. but lottie and this story are way weirder and more interesting than that. it's a mystery in which no one plays their part correctly in a sense. the dead girl isn't dead, the murderer didn't kill anyone, and the investigator doesn't try to solve it. totally strange but would sure read more.

ALSO the art was beautiful!!

I wasn’t sure where this comic was headed and if I would like it. There didn’t seem to be a plot at all until the very ending. For me, there needs to be somewhat of a plot, especially in the first installation, for it to be worthy of continuation. Luckily they dropped a cliffhanger near the end so now I have to continue on!

Overall I thought the art style was amazing!

maybe it's so bad it's supposed to be good or maybe it's truly bad

Guau!! me ha flipado muchísimo este cómic, necesito más, Lottie me encanta y la historia es de lo mas rara, surrealista y a la vez interesante que hace que no pares de leer

3.5 stars.

I have no idea what I just read but it was unique and well written
