The character work is magnificent and I like how realistic the love story was. I think I expected a bit more from the ending but I guess it fit the reality of it all

It could’ve been 200 pages less. It’s too thick for two older millenials contemplating and trying to get another closure from their previous relationship. However, just like any other David Nicholl’s works, it is heartwarming. The third person narrator definitely reliable in explaining the feelings/minds of Marnie and Michael.
