This gives me very big a Man Called Ove vibe (lonely older man finds allies in places he did not expect). Except in this case, this main character is British, gay, and just shy. I really liked his search for George and how that helps Albert become more comfortable with himself. A great novel for anyone that wants a heartfelt novel.

really enjoyed the message of never being “too old” to change your life by doing things differently. felt that the story itself could have been told more succinctly which i hypothesize would have made me like it a bit more.
