3.5 stars. The book got off to a bit of a shaky start with the whole 'sixteen years later' thing which, from past experience, isn't a good sign in a series, but I quickly fell for Wren and got immersed in her story. Luckily, Tom and Hester weren't entirely left out of the story, and quite a few other characters make appearances too.
It was interesting to see how the world has changed since Predator's Gold, especially the rise of the Green Storm, but it felt a little introductory - I'm hoping for more of a showdown in the final book, especially as it's so much longer than the others.

What happened to the goal from the other book. The Medusa thing!!! And I still don't like Hester Shaw. Maby it makes sense that she is the way she is given her life, but grow up. No character development at all. Insted it progressively gets wors. Ass well with Tom. He doesn't do anything to validate that he loves his wife. His behavior is so bad although not as bad as the previous book where he did something I felt like he shouldn't ben forgiven for so quickly. He still can't stop commenting on how pretty other women are and how ugly Hester his wife is. Like isn't he supposedly in love with her. And it just the bad characters otherwise I think the world is great and fun. Okey maby I don't like the plot and story that much either but that can depend on the fact that I don't care about the characters.

I was surprised with how quickly I finished it. The time jump was cool and a lot does in fact change after 15 years but a lot also stays the same.

Interesting to see how the characters changed-or mostly didn’t!!!-over the years between books. Interesting also how the world had changed, though fairly realistic I’d guess. I liked this one more than the second, but not as much as the first. Gotta see how the main series ends.

first his writing style didn’t bother me that much in the first books. but that was probably because there was actually plot in those books and especially a plot that made sense and didn’t seem to be random. but now it bothers me cause the plot was a bit boring and seemed to be like the author desperately tried to add something to the story so it’ll create another book
