I would give this book unlimited stars if I could. I have reread this book so many times, it's honestly kind of scary. 😂 I fell in love with the book within the first few words. 100% recommend!

Okay.... So this story has the potential to be really good. The story is there. The ideas, the plot, the characters, they’re good. Unfortunately, the writing is really juvenile and at times it’s hard to read without cringing. The book needs some serious editing for grammar. I usually overlook minor grammatical issues, but the tenses are all over the place and many sentences are missing words and pronouns. A lot of the writing is just not super developed and the author does a lot of telling instead of showing.

It’s disappointing because I really did think the story was interesting and had a lot of original elements for something in a pretty common trope. I can see a lot of potential from the author, but I think she needs to work a bit more on her storytelling.

DNF at 69% (hehe)

The writing is childish at best, while it was funny and endearing at first it became way too repetitive and some of the descriptions were cringey at best. Showing many of those… problematic—? tropes that were so popular during the last decade I just could not keep up with it. Every time i picked this book it was harder and harder to continue as the plot dragged on.

I never DNF, but I have reached my limit.

Writing was bad editing was bad characters were bad because dialogue was bad. It took me like 5 Pages to decide this because it was just too much for me to get through it. I used to have a higher tolerance for this??? Also the main character is 18 and still in high school and it's a clean book (which for the ages of the characters, I consider a good thing and normally wouldn't bother me) which puts it firmly in the YA category and I just do not want to waste my time on a book I'm having a hard time with tone wise that's ALSO juvenile.
