DID NOT FINISH: 15%

Too boring. Tried twice to get into it. Saw the reviews shared there’s a lot of misogyny in this book, no surprise.  Had AI give me the tl;dr and the main points seem good but also feels obvious to me. Maybe there’s more there that I’ll never know from not finishing the book, I just don’t find the writing style interesting enough to ever find out

This 1937 book is crazy popular and I’ve been recommended it so many times. I have no idea why it’s praised so highly. It just wasn’t a book for me.

I enjoyed this book. What stood out to me the most was the parts talking about friends and your social circle, and how they are not always the most supportive of you. I think that was such an important topic not always talked about in self help books. Would recommend.

I forgot I finished this, I think the audio I listened to skipped around a little but it was an interesting listen. I think it’s definitely dated but the core idea is a good idea. It would be interesting to get the book and try to put his plan into action
