Brava! Brava! Three cheers for the author(s) of this book! It was a fairly quick read, with intriguing I-swear-in-the-name-of-my-dead-hamster-it-wasn't-me blurbs about why it couldn't be the assorted authors. I especially liked the ending, with a dramatic plot twist. I expected a plot twist, but not this one! A read I would recommend to everyone.

Were it an option I would have given this book 3.5 stars. I wasn't expecting a teen book but it was amusing and has a few of my favourite authors (namely John Green). Worth checking out if you have a spare afternoon.

This book was delightful and a quick read. I found myself giggling aloud at points. The contributions from each author are short and witty. The book is fun.

This book is about the evil, mean, selfish and arrogant editor Herman Mildew. And I mean it! Imagin the biggest evil on earth or better the biggest evil in the universe. That`s him. And then one sunny day....he dies. And everyone is happy. All the writers who worked with Herman are suspects. So every one of them should write a alibi. And that`s what this book is. A book full of alibis. All the stories are great and I recommend this book.

I picked up this anthology because it contains a piece by David Levithan that I hadn't read. I tried to read the rest of it but it's all over the place. The gist is that an editor by the name of Herman Mildew has been murdered and the contributors to this anthology are pleading their innocence in his death. It sounds like a fun read on paper but I couldn't get into it. There's no central line that the authors use to describe Mr. Mildew and that threw me off. Kudos for this anthology going to support the 826 literary program but I couldn't finish it.

Not to sound too reminiscent of the esteemed editor Herman Mildew himself, but this book needs some massive cuts. The alibis were incredibly repetitive, and not nearly as funny or clever as the authors thought they were. I also am not sure of who the intended audience is - most of the supposed “humor” was juvenile riffs on how fat and stinky Mildew was (surely not in any way appealing to adult readers), but then one of the alibis featured Mildew telling the female narrator to sit on his face! Overall, I have no clue what this book was trying to accomplish, but unless it was to irritate me, I’m certain it didn’t achieve it.

Not that impressed. The idea behind this book is great and I do love that it's going to a really cool charity. My problem was with the amount of authors included, the stories got real repetitive real fast. Also, the bigger name authors only wrote about a paragraph each, which made me mad on principle.
