I love a good grumpy sunshine! I’m also a fan of a man who will literally  cannot contain how much he loves his woman. The only nitpicky thing I have to say is that Josephine seemed like an almost too perfect character. I didn’t detect any character flaws at all. Other than that, quick lighthearted read!

Anytime a book makes me lose sleep and think about reading it instead of doing my job, it’s going to get a high score! I know absolutely nothing about golf besides that Torrey Pines exists close to where I live. But no golf is necessary for these two to be lovable. A total smut dream with grumpy/sunshine and good communication where they face things head on which I appreciate. Like grown ass adults.  The grumpy golfer becoming soooo sunshine was not totally believable and that’s the only reason it’s not 5 stars. But I’m definitely excited for the hockey/ nanny second book and will be reading it for sure

I think this is my favorite Tessa Bailey book by far. I loved the characters and the growth from both. Josephine's parents are adorable and while set in a golf world it wasn't overwhelming and is a really good intro, makes you want to watch some young golfers 😜.

the way this book just took me by complete surprise, and in the best way!

i was hooked from the start - the banter was gripping from PAGE FOUR, and had me seated and ready for Josephine and Wells' story from then onwards.
i actually really enjoyed how the story went, it wasn't too over the top with the 'Fan' moments, and they didn't last too long to begin with, although i did love Josephine's loyalty and those scenes were golden (insert immaculate banter). their relationship also didn't give me any weird vibes like it could've done, with being fan x sportsman and all that. they were actually mature about it and also the deal they made at the time, made sense for both of them. it was perfect!

these two had banter, they had steam 😮‍💨 and they had swoony romance too 💚 they also grew together and individually as people and the maturity with which Wells grew into was beautiful to see! Josephine had amazing rep with her T1 Diabetes, she was such a strong person and we see that so many times - her love and loyalty is without limit and she was an incredible caddie with a love for golf and bringing Wells back to his best potential, his good luck charm 🫶🧡

the ending scene was truly beautiful and i love how
the emotions really got to Wells, and you see that when he quite literally falls to his knees and cries, the portrayal for his character was really good for him, almost as though this heavy weight had just been lifted, and having Josephine's caddie shirt in his back pocket 😭💚, and then how he was his blunt self and was like "Be my wife." 🙌

the epilogue content was also a great addition!!

definitely glad i didn't turn a blind eye to this book considering i can't seem to get into any of Tessa's other books 🫣 but this one really hit the mark! i adored their story and would definitely recommend giving it a try ✨

"No one trash talks my golfer but me."
"And no one gets too close to my caddie but me. Stay beside me out there, Josephine."
"Oh, I will. How else are people going to notice our matching outfits?"
'His groan boomed down the hallway, followed by her laughter.' 🌴⛳🏅🧢🎆💚

I grew up in a family obsessed with golf and have never understood it or found it interesting until Tessa wrote this book with 🔥 characters that I wish existed IRL 😂♥️
