Remix by Non Pratt is a phenomenal read that perfectly captures the intensity of friendship, love, and self-discovery. The story follows Kaz and Ruby as they navigate a music festival filled with nostalgia, heartbreak, and unexpected twists. What makes this book stand out is its raw and authentic portrayal of teenage emotions which contains messy, complicated, and utterly real. The dual perspectives add depth, making both protagonists feel incredibly relatable. Pratt's writing is engaging and immersive, making it impossible to put the book down. It’s the kind of story that lingers long after the last page, reminding you of the power of music, memories, and true friendship.
Graphic: Cursing, Panic attacks/disorders, Rape, Sexual assault, and Gaslighting

Non Pratt has such a fantastic writing style. Her characters are always so relatable and entertaining. But what I loved most about Remix was the final paragraph absolute perfection.

Not a 2.5, not quite a 3. A weird, obsurce 2. something number.
The premise was beautiful. The characters were different and nice, but all a little too much when put together. All the relationships were toxic, even Ruby and Kaz, even though it was toxic out of love, if that even makes sense.
Had a lot of potential to be good if it wasn’t so messy.
But I did like how this is the only book (besides Harry Potter, duh) that I’ve read that is British.

I loved this book. Having read Trouble by Non Pratt in February(?) and having absolutely loved it, I was incredibly excited to read Remix. Then when the early copes went out and they came back with mainly positive reviews, my excitement grew. I’m so happy about the fact that I was not let down.
What I love about this book is that it is mainly about friendship compared to being about relationships and love. Don’t get me wrong, there was a lot of relationship drama but the fact that it was primarily about a friendship made me so happy.

Aaaah such a sweet story about friendship and first love! It was dramatic and exciting and romantic, yet heavily focused on a realistic friendship, which I didn't originally think I would enjoy but turns out I loved. I really appreciate that it didn't sound like an adult trying to write as a teenager - I know the author had input from readers as to what slang and popular phrases to use, which made the entire book really authentic and current. I also think I loved this so much because I came back from Reading Festival literally yesterday, so it was fun to read about a festival and not have to forget the hype just yet!

Wow I haven't read a book this quickly in forever! I kind of want to give it a higher rating because it was so easy and quick to read, but in reality it's a 3star. I liked it, but it wasn't anything mind blowing. It would definitely be cute as a movie. Honestly I thought most of the characters were awful, even the one I did like (Ruby) was awful at a point, but in a way it made them more real. It took me a while to get used to the back and forth narration. At first I thought maybe it should've been written in third person, but it worked fine as is. Hopefully this reading kick stays cause I reallyyy want to get back to reading tons.
