I thought this volume was a bit all over the place, but it was also great with all the time travel stuff, and so cool that they brought in other writers like Hasan Minaj. I got kind of emotional at the end because it’s G. Willow Wilson’s last volume and I can’t believe I’ve been reading this for 5 years?? It’s so amazing?? And I’m sure other people will do a great job with it, but I am grateful to her for bringing Kamala into the world, and am so glad for what the success of this title indicates about the way our world is changing (even when it seems like it’s changing for the worse).

This collected volume, the final with G. Willow Wilson at the helm, started with a bang – and a sigh of relief from me as I felt like it was going back to all that I loved about it initially. It was nice seeing the return to the chaos of trying to mix her “real” life with her superhero one. Plus, it was fantastic seeing all her friends make appearances. I even liked the glimpse of Bruno trying to figure out the “why.” Although, frankly, the “why” he defined made zero sense and completely confused me – but whatever. It is superhero comics. Just suspend belief and realism, right? Side note: I loved the blue-floaty-creature in issue #35. More of it please!
My rating for this final collected volume would have been four, or maybe even five stars. But then issues 36-38 happened. What started with a bang, ended with a whimper. Sometimes, an editor needs to say “stop.” And Sana Amanat should have done so after issue #35. While the stories in the final issue were sweet and okay, they seemed 100% extraneous.
I thank G. Willow Wilson for taking the reins and creating a superhero that so many young girls look at and say “Hey! She looks like me!” Our world is a melting pot of diversity, uniqueness, and amazing culture. It is refreshing to see these things reflected in the books I pick-up off shelves. Ms. Marvel is a gem of a character. I’m excited to see where Saladin Ahmed takes the thread of her story. And I cannot freaking wait to see the movie!

Oh no, I've read the last ever G. Willow Wilson issue of Ms. Marvel. Like the Doctor regenerating, I'm excited for the future but sad to say goodbye to the past. The series ended on a high note - with a surreal fight with Shocker across time as Kamala discovered how her powers work and with 3 short stories.
Fun, action packed and heartfelt as always.

What a lackluster finale. It's lazy and boring. It seems more like the first few issues of a new series rather than the last few issues of an incredibly popular run. Disappointed to say the least but excited to see Ms. Marvel again in Magnificent Ms. Marvel and other books as a supporting character.

Aaaaand scene. Man, that series took me four whole years. And the last volume was a cute (still had some improvement) way to curtain call and say goodbye to our favourite characters from Kamala and her esoteric battle with herself and identity towards others (in fact the villain was only a secondary sidekick), Bruno and his geekiness overload with some help with none other than Charles Xavier providing some deus ex machina exposition for how the mechanics of superpowers work (honestly couldn't give less of a shit), the girl gang and how far they've come (Nakia, Zoe, blue hair indifferent one) and finally the Khan family, without ever missing the pop culture -geek reference and the beloved guest star, time time being Spider Man himself, Miles Morales
