Had a hard time finishing this. Took so long. Middle part was best part of book. Her running through silent forest was so creepy. Then got predictable and annoying.

I think the plot of this book was confusing as our main character flies home first a last minute opportunity for an acting role. she hasn't had any other opportunities since what happened in the set last time. Our main character is starring in a movie where the main character Kate is having unexplainable things happen to her which is the same things as what is happening in the book. This then starts happening to the main character in the story. it gave us good plot twists at the end of why these things were happening and it was tense but I wish it gave us some faster pacing at the beginning as it felt quite repetitive to begin with. The book kept from us whay was happening in Adeles previous set and what she did and that story ended up being underwhelming. Adele was unlikeable and made me think towards the end that everything that happened to her was valid 😅

Took a really long time to get anywhere, once it did the reveal section was only somewhat worth the wait. The very end was an odd letdown, I felt there could have more of an interesting wrap-up. Read this because I had *really* loved 56 Days and The Nothing Man, but found this to be a disappointment.

listen I’m not opposed to meta concepts but the book within the movie within the book was wildly confusing

Passable but ultimately unfulfilling. Author reveals the ending very early, and the clues aren’t hard to predict. Maybe I’m too experienced with thrillers, but I didn’t feel any tension when I knew the ending so far in advance. Very standard for the genre, probably would not recommend.

Well I read it all so it obviously kept me entertained. However, Adele was annoying and it was boring and repetitive reading about her thoughts on each and every situation.
