This book was cute! And now I want to watch a marathon of all Audrey Hepburn’s movies!! Starting with Breakfast at Tiffany’s (which just happens too be my Favorite).

The perfect sweet romance with a behind the scenes look of Hollywood that is different from most behind the scenes. Most behind the scenes of Hollywood take you into the actor's point of view, this one takes you behind the scenes into the editing bay. Silvia Bradshaw loves being a part of the process in editing, she is slowly working her way up the ladder project by project, but her current boss is making life a little difficult. Ben Mason was her previous boss and helped her get her to where she is now and when looking at things after they have happened, Ben and Silvia begin to see each other with different eyes.

A delightful rom-com. Well written, unpredictable but not erratic, and the heroine was likable and relatable.

My Thoughts:

- I told myself I wasn't going to read any more of the proper romance books, but then they released one that is highly influenced by Audrey Hepburn. *sigh*

- Silvia is an up and coming film editor in Hollywood. She is determined to make Hollywood a more female friendly and equality friendly place to work, which would be easier if her boss wasn't a slacker and a jerk. Silvia's old boss, Ben, saves her and her job one night, and Silvia decides to notice how appealing her ex-boss/kinda friend is. Silvia's life has been mildly influenced by Audrey Hepburn and her movies. Her glass eye is even named Audrey.

- I loved the quotes at the beginning of the chapters. I knew them all!

- Silvia's relationship with Audrey Hepburn was a little weird for me. She wasn't really a fan, she was just a look alike with cancer in common. Silvia's grandma was the true Audrey Hepburn fan, who appreciated Hepburn and her work for it's amazingness.

- Speaking of the grandma, I wish the book had more about her. Grandma was the most interesting part of the story. She was my favorite character, and her story interested me way more than Silvia's.

- Besides the Audrey Hepburn parts and the grandma parts, I was bored. The romance and the story just weren't doing it for me.

I usually prefer historical romance to contemporary but I really enjoyed this book. Sylvia was an awesome character and I left the book wanting to rent as many old movies with Audrey Hepburn as possible!

Working in Hollywood is not easy. Silvia discovers this as she starts a new job with a difficult boss and as one of the few women working in the office. As an up and coming film editor Silvia is part of a dog-eat-dog world where people are always looking for a leg up. One of Silvia's biggest inspirations is Audrey Hepburn, at the start of every chapter there are quotes from movies that Audrey Hepburn starred in.
This is a follow-up to Julie Wrights 'Lies Jane Austen Told Me' although you don't have to read one before the other. I enjoyed the quotes from Audrey Hepburns movies, it definitely made it easier for me to relate to Silvia more. I felt like this book had enough surprises that it wasn't predictable but not enough that it wasn't believable.
Filled with romance, a sassy grandma, and Audrey Hepburn this is a book you will want to read and share with a friend!

This has been on my tbr list since it released but I finally got a chance to read/listen to it. The audiobook was great but Justine Eyre tends to do an amazing job.

This book was a lot different from what I was expecting, the heroine has one eye - which was unique. Most heroines don't have disabilities and I appreciate the author casting a wider net to bring awareness, but its not one I would've expected. So the naming of the fake eye was odd. But I don't doubt it isn't a thing. My friend had a 9 lb cancer mass that she named.

This book was like a 3.5 for me.

I love Audrey Hepburn so I was there for all the movie quotes! The plot with working at the movie production studio was interesting and I guess the last few chapters either were resolved too quickly or I spaced something with the audiobook but it seemed like it was too quickly patched up.

I liked seeing Emma from the previous book "Lies Jane Austen Told Me".

**Spoiler: She tells Ben she loves him in the quote "As You Wish" from The Princess Bride but she said she hadn't heard from him in a week and that was a really long to not have talked but before they literally went months without talking beforehand...and then all of a sudden they're invited to the movie premiere. I don't know how Hollywood is with film editing being done with premieres but I imagine there's months in between. So some of the timeline and keeping them apart was all off to me. How Ben signed the agreement to not be with Sylvia - his unrequited love for years and then he can be with her! and then he signs that agreement...especially without talking to her first.
