The book feels like a movie and Cormac McCarthy made a masterpiece
Had some good moments but dare I say mid?? Idk the dialogue was so confusing to me sometimes I just felt like I had to work hard for little reward. Maybe I just didn’t get it idk. Can’t wait to watch the movie

3.5 Stars. I generally dislike the use of brutal, gritty, raw, etc. as adjectives of praise. They certainly describe this story and a number of its characters, but the beauty of this book is found in the second half, I think. It raises a lot of important questions about the interplay between free will and control, and the source of sphere of influence of human evil. Really good questions.

Saw the movie before reading the book so none of it was a surprise. I appreciate the scenic descriptions. Enagaging story.
I've seen the movie but long ago enough that I forgot much of the plot. Listened to this on audio and really enjoyed it. Very dark and suprisingly funny at times. Awesome characters and dialoge. Woulda been 5 stars but fizzled out for me at the end.
