This book is the sweetest, so funny you’ll laugh out loud at Rosie’s antics and if you’re listening to it as an audio book, like I did, then people might even look at you a little strange. It’s been a while since I’ve come across such a light hearted funny read like this, Rosie’s story about living out of a van gave me a bit of wanderlust and now has me angst-ing for a good road trip. Not to mention that the main love interest is a total dream boat ;D

“We’re lounging in the warmth, wrapped in throw rugs, as nature plays a symphony for us, wind whipping through trees, rain drumming the roof. I’m getting used to these moments of stillness, where I don’t clean, I don’t make lists, I just exist.”

This was the epitome of a cozy read! Travel, tea, baking, humor, friendship, books, romance. I adored it.  The premise was fantastic and drew me right in. On the night of her 32nd birthday Rosie finds out her husband has been having affair. He excuses his behavior by telling her she is too predictable and asks for a divorce. In despair over the ending of her marriage she impulsively quits her job as a Michelin star chef. After a night of too much wine a bright pink camper van named “Poppy” is delivered to her driveway. She learns she’s purchased it with nearly all her hard won savings. With no where else to go she decides to hit the road serving to speciality teas, baked goods and comfort foods - Rosie’s Travelling Tea Shop begins. She teams up with more “van-lifers” on this journey of self discovery, joy and healing. This was comforting in that slightly predictable way with some surprising twists to keep it distinct and keep me turning pages past my bedtime. I’m looking forward to reading more from Rebecca Raisin.

A couple other favorite quotes:

“What in the world? Not only is he dumping me, he’s planning my spinsterhood too? Jinxing me to a lonely life where my only companion is my tarragon plant? Well, not on my watch! I might be sleep-deprived but I’m nobody’s fool.”

“She’s part bookworm, part sprite and it’s impossible not to be swept away by her whimsy, even for someone as staid as me.”

"A laugh-out-loud novel of love, friendship and adventure!" Goodness....I haven't been getting the best books yet. I definitely didn't laugh once, and after getting half way through I'm calling it a day. Maybe the last quarter of the book will be an "adventure"....but there's too many books in the world to read to wait for that. =)

Rosie's Traveling Tea Shop was a delightful read. I wasn't expecting the humor to have me laughing so hard. In the future I hope to pick up another book in this series. I wasn't expecting a clean romance either, and found it to be refreshing.  Books like this will be a great palette cleanser between heavier themed books.

A sweet book that made me feel like I'm out on vacation, reading about the travels of Rosie as she learns to stop overthinking, judging others, and enjoy the moment instead.
I found myself time and time again daydreaming about going to travel myself, while reading this book. What a dreamy life it would be to stop this 9 to 5 grind and start living every day on its own!
A lovely book with a positive energy to lighten up your day.

The ending though was underwhelming, the whole catfish plot looked like an afterthought, trying to bring unnecessary conflict to the story.

Also the whole story had Rosie being superstitious about all kinds of things, such as vegan lifestyle, and the wonders of the internet... Overall she came across a bit outdated, didn't seem like a 30 years old to me
