An excellent start to a series I am very much looking forward to reading. Kit is hawt and I am down for some more scenes between him (in his Kate garb!) and the lovely Will. The storyline kept me engaged, and although this ends on an HFN, I'm hoping for more adventures from these two sexy spies.

Just worthy of your time

It was a sweet read but nothing thought provoking or original. Romance and sex were hot enough to make your dream about it but the suspense and character development weren't up to par. [spoiler] Personally, I felt that the ending could've been much better if it wasn't a happy ending. Also, it is hard to believe those guys are spies when they act like teenagers just discovering their sexuality and urges for the first time. I wish there were more events to show their so called spy skills or mindset.

I have to say that the beginning is surprising and for some reason made it awkward for me. I'm not going to ruin it. I just needed to say that. Everything after the initial surprise works but your mind might be slow to respond. I found myself distracted by it and the mechanics of the situation. (But then again, I'm weird.)

So Joanna Chambers and Annika Martin decided to write a story...
In that story, there are bad guys, good guys, and dudes who aren't sure which category they fall under. There is hot lust, sweet gentle touches, and a whole lot of uncomfortable sounding clothes. (Maybe it's just me but the idea of zippers maiming my lady bits is scary...just me?)

So again...good guys, bad guys, and questionable dudes. Then hot lust, gentle touches, and dare I say emotion!?! Nope couldn't be. Add in mystery, intrigue, and shady Intel...well then you have an eyebrow arching interest right? But wait still not done! Now before you say but I don't know...this book is M/M. So for those that are interested, those that like some spice, or those filthy ladies like myself who have to imagine everything down to the last grunt. Don't wait anymore, just one click and perhaps pencil in some "reading time" on your busy calendar!

Maybe the characters could have been fine if they behaved differently, but I didn’t like the plot.

Will is determined to kill the man that Kit is guarding. The thing is that they were both so dedicated to their missions, and yet they got distracted so easily that made their missions ridiculous.

This book has a lot of time jumps, which I don’t usually like but in this book, I just didn’t care because I didn’t like the story.

There are a few times when Will attempts to kill the man and Kit stops him, and I was bored because they would just get distracted each time. Then near the end there is supposed to be a reveal, but part of it was obvious and the rest was rushed because then there is another time jump.

I didn’t like how the characters acted, the pacing of the book or the plot. This book wasn’t for me and I don’t think I’m going to try other books by this author.

I didn't love it as much as I wanted to but overall, a quick read.

This was an interesting book. The two main characters were very unique and interesting. Especially Kit. He was fun to read about, and had a sense of humor. I had to get it after reading the prologue. It was also very well written. So why is it not 4 stars or more?

Well, when two people whose job is to kill each other somehow end up making out after every encounter, it gets a tad bit...unrealistic? I could simply not overlook the fact that these two characters were meant to be concentrating on the job, and not hot hookups. If only these sex scenes were framed better, maybe it would've resonated better with me.

However, I did enjoy reading this book. It's a quick read full of hot sex and some good thrills.
