4* - I got this as an audible ARC and I love that this story is based out of Washington (where I’m from) so I felt like I knew all the places and felt more connected . This story kept me guessing and then there was more. I’m excited to see what the set of twins can actually do with there supernatural instincts “feeling”. I can’t wait to know the other stories in the series.

It does talk about mental issues and suicide.

This one missed the mark for me. The writing was below par in my opinion and the author did not capture the teenage characters well at all - it definitely feels like a middle aged man writing a teenage girl.

Absolutely riveting.

When the body of troubled teen Katelyn Berkley is found in her bathtub, the close-knit community of Port Gamble, Washington is shaken to its core. All signs point to a suicide but what makes her death even more tragic is that Katelyn survived a horrific bus crash ten years ago, which took the lives of several young girls and has scarred the town ever since.

Hayley and Taylor Ryan are identical twins who grew up with Katelyn and have spent the last 10 years getting over the crash. Ever since that fateful night the twins have shared a secret: they can hear the dead. And it soon becomes clear that Katelyn is communicating with them. Whilst the town believes it was a tragic accident, something much darker lies behind Katelyn’s death.

I really enjoyed this audiobook. Port Gamble is a great setting for a new series and the first book certainly didn't disappoint. Most of the characters are teenagers, but that didn't meant that this wasn't a grown up book; sometimes these kind of books are more Young Adult, but this definitely ticked all of the 'thriller boxes'.

I found myself intruiged by the twins and their 'gifts' and really wanted to keep listening to see how it all came together.

My thanks to NetGalley and the Publishers for sending me this book in return for an honest review.

I really thought this book was going to be good, the synopsis sounded great. It was the exact opposite of what I thought it would be about. The story was alllll over the place. I don’t even think the author knew what was going on. There was a second storyline going that made zero sense and it was a complete waste of my time. I don’t usually like to write bad reviews but if the book just focused on the girl who was found in the tub and not all the other story lines it would have been much better. 2.5 stars rounded up

Twins have the ability to sense memories using water, objects, dreams and other mediums. They know Katelyn didn't kill herself. Using their skill, they delve deeper, trying to solve their sad friend's death.
Katelyn dies in the bathtub- electrocuted when the family espresso machine falls in. Her death is ruled accidental. Though no one can ignore the scares from cutting, the lingering depression, isolation.
Taylor and Hayley are determined to find out what really happened.
