I can't get over how wonderfully this was written. Lovely yet conversational at the same time, as well as achingly honest. The kind of book I could fill to the brim with sticky notes, underlines, and highlights.
First, this book sincerely helped me re-frame my anxiety. It isn’t really a self-help book as much as understanding anxiety in all its forms and how to live with it. I appreciated that the author gave real, solid advice that she has used and has learned from some very knowledgeable people.
My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that I felt the book was very long and some of the same stories came up again and again. I understand that the author is a celebrity in Australia, so perhaps her publisher encouraged her to write more for people who are interested in her life, but for me it was hard to stay focused. Nevertheless, I did finish it, found is extremely helpful and will be using some of her advice in my never-ending journey of “fretting”

She's crazed, but has more wisdom to impart on the topic than 4 or 5 typical such books.
Interesting. I read about half and then switched to audio book. I feel like this is the kind of book where for some people they are going to identify completely with what she says and get a lot out of it. Then for others, not so much. I'm in the not so much camp.

This would be one of the first books i’ve read about anxiety specifically. Had to throw my book across the room a few times because i was so ill-prepared how much of it was a self portrait. So many dog-earred pages. I need to put some distance between me and the book for a while before I revisit those pages. My life coach will be hearing about this. 108/10
This is actual hot garbage.
