Needs more Italy (I get why so much of it takes place in the bucolic English countryside, but I want more Italy).
This book was interesting. I picked it based on hearing about it in another audiobook. I liked the premise but it was a bit slow

A bit disappointing considering this is many people’s favourite of Forster’s books. Had some interesting ideas and characters but was so dull I almost gave up at one point. I might prefer it on a reread, but I doubt I’ll bother because so much of it was just really boring - it’s only 200 pages and it took me 3 weeks to drag myself through.

Such a lovely, peaceful story. An absolute classic!
Favourite quote: “This desire to govern a woman—it lies very deep, and men and women must fight it together.... I want you to have your own thoughts even when I hold you in my arms.”

E.M. Fosters, A Room with a View is a good read. The story of classism and love is a common theme amongst English literature but always interesting. The story gets off to a slow start building the class structures, but the story definitely picks up. However it tends to leave out a lot of the action forcing readers to take an active role in piecing together what has lead to the following conclusion.
This tiny book took me forever to read. I kept getting distracted by trashy novels and glossy paperbacks. But I finished and I loved Lucy and George as much as I did when I saw the movie in middle school.
It's a solid novel with a full, funny, and romantic story rolled into 200 pages.
