This book could have been like 10 pages long if they just communicated with each other

I’m a sucker for a good romance novel with some spice and this had it all. Loved it!

I still freaking love this book

Whew boy so many thoughts! If I never have to hear the phrase "I am liquid" again, it'll be too soon.

First off, the timeline was completely jacked up. He cannot possibly have met Rachel, gotten her pregnant, and had a baby, gotten a bachelor's, finished flight school, and become captain fast enough for this timeline to make sense. I dont know why she insists on making all of her protagonists so young, but she's doing herself a huge disservice. Also, a 23 year old isn't "going back" to school, she's just going to school.

Now onto Tate. I really don't see what she's getting out of this relationship with Miles. This man never talks, shows no real signs of a personality, and kicks her out of his house the second he finishes fucking her. And she hates it but she just "can't stay away"? Girl, the d has not been touched in 6 years, it cannot be this good. Get a grip and some self respect.

Now Miles - I'm not even going to touch on the "we laugh at our son's big balls" line, it's been roasted so long it's well-done. I think CoHo made a big mistake by not showing more of his present thoughts. All we hear is about how much he loves Rachel, and so we dont really have any reason to root for him and Tate. He doesn't even really seem to like her. And I acknowledge that he went through something genuinely traumatic, but he should have gotten some INTENSE therapy a long time ago. And I watched The Rehearsal so I know that pilots aren't really "allowed" to do therapy, but this man should be the exception to the rule.

In summary - when I drew this book out of the jar, I said "ooo, toxicity!" And I was 100% correct.

I don't understand why people cry with Colleen Hoover books. I'm up to 3 and I haven't shed a tear. Not gonna lie this book was GOOD. 5/5. Loved the tropes, the characters and the plotline. Corbin tho! I loved how Corbin and Tate argued. Hilarious.

A quick read but I didn’t like this nearly as much as “it ends with us”. The character development was lacking and it was hard to like Miles IMO. Yes, I still cried at the end. Just feeling eh about it.
