I nearly DNFed it, but my curiosity about the ending got the best of me. Still, it just didn't click for me. A lot of the book was filled with steamy scenes that I ended up skipping since I'm not really into that and it makes me feel uneasy, and honestly, the storyline didn't offer anything fresh—everything felt so predictable.

5 stars this read was like a breath of fresh air. I never knew i needed a line cook book boyfriend till i read this.
But i will never look at a snickers bar the same

This romance is what happens when someone binge watches The Bear (I mean, even the fan art at the end looks like Jeremy Allen White), sees a tweet about “yes, Chef” being the new “daddy” and decides to write a book about it. I wish I had written it first! One The Line was a perfect, low stakes, fast romance that was a super enjoyable way to spend the afternoon. The main characters are cute, with a little tension, and (my personal favorite) the main conflict had nothing to do with miscommunication!!! I really enjoyed this book.

I can’t read anymore for the life of me
