This is a weird one because I think this book perfectly depicts Beast Boy, the character. It makes total sense that he's got two, awesome, best friends that he essentially ignores in order to be popular. The book is well done, the art is great, but I don't really want to read it again because Beast Boy is just...not a good character.
I just love so much that they’re doing these brand new origin stories for the Teen Titans, and I can’t wait to see more of them. My favorite thing about this series is Gabriel Picolo’s art style, and I can’t wait for Beast Boy Loves Raven! And the eventual meeting of all the Teen Titans... this series is just nostalgic joy for me.
First book of 2021 finished! I loved reading Raven, and Beast Boy was just as fun! I very much to forward to the next in the series this fall as well as all the other Titans! Highly recommend, especially if you're newer to learning about Teen Titans, or you just want to read something that's a little bit more of a causal view of them!
Liked this one more then Raven. Can't wait to see where the story goes in the 3rd book
*4.5
I love it here.
The sneak peek for the next installment got me feeling all the feels and jumping back on my BBxRaven fanfic madness.

They're fine books, it's just pretty obvious they're for like middle schoolers and below. Would have LOVED these back when I was in 4th or 5th grade for example. Now it only reminds me that I'm not in that age bracket anymore.
Gar is tired of being the smallest guy around, but no amount of protein shakes and time in the gym has helped him to bulk up. Friends Stella and Tank try to convince him he's awesome as is, but Gar wants a change. And a change he will get!
This book was my first introduction to Beast Boy since I hadn't watched Teen Titans Go! or seen the character elsewhere. I really enjoyed this as an origin story. I think that Kami Garcia has done a tremendous job with this character, just as she did with Raven.
The illustrations, by Gabriel Picolo are beautiful and so much fun.
I highly recommend this book to superhero fans and to anyone who loves graphic novels!
