Loved the book, the change in Ridley was amazing. Link fought a long hard battle for her to love him and went through hell to be with her. In the end things change and in lifeguard at happens. The ending pages were frustrating, it just ended with Nox and her deciding where to go. I hope there is another book.

What the hell?! It doesn't bode well for the series when you finish a book hating every character.

Ouch ouch ouch ouch the ending hurts. My god. In all honesty, the book is great and the writing is phenomenal but you really see the regression of Ridley’s character here and then it just ends. Honesty wish I hadn’t read this one bc it ruins what I thought of her and all the character arc she received in the first book of her series. Rated 4.0 because of writing and the addictiveness of the story but personally the actual plot was a 2, bc of the ending

Silas Ravenwood manages to capture Ridley after his henchmen almost kill Link and Ridley. Link sets out to rescue her, with the help of his dark caster band-mates and Liv and John.

Silas Ravenwood I found creepier and more disturbing as an arch-villain than Abraham Ravenwood. Abraham was violent and destructive, with some experiments in hybrids, but reading of the scale of Silas’s experiments is far more insidious, especially with his mob-boss-like empire of Incubus/caster crime.

Whell Ridley is dark alright not the end I expected. Why end it on a cliff hanger. Ugh that was good to the end. Now I see why people stop at the other series.
