It starts very slow, therefore three stars instead of four.

I won’t lie, I found this book boring at first. Maybe it’s because it’s not the usual genre I read, but the first half of the book felt slow and to me the characters felt flat. But halfway through, it hooked me in and hooked me in deep. The final quarter of the book had twist after twist. Each time I thought that was it, that was the ending. But then another twist would happen and it just left your head turning, trying to wrap your head around the truth. Definitely worth a read and try not to give up on it.

Well written but not my cup of tea.

I also would have liked to hear more from the perspective of other characters. Hearing only the main character's voice got monotonous after awhile, especially since she is so wrapped up in herself and her feelings and seems to rarely consider anyone else's feelings. (Which is odd for a child psychologist.)

Lost interest, very irritated.

Good!! Loved the twists and turns at the end. But it left me wanting more, I was really hoping to see more
of how Chloe turned her life back around with Daniel. But all in all it was really an enjoyable book
