Found it slow for the first 200 pages or so. But the chapters each end on a tiny cliffhanger which kept me up reading most nights. I liked that the main character was the daughter of a serial killer. I hadn't read a thriller from that point of view before. I DID figure out the "who dunnit" early on but that didn't take away from any enjoyment. The ending is tied up in a nice little bow, which I appreciate.

The writing at the beginning was slow and full of fluff so it was hard to get started, but by chapter 5 or so I was captivated! The plot twists just keep coming and everything is so logical yet surprising. Amazing read!

This had potential to be so good if the main girl wasn't the worst ...but she was!

I flew through this because it was super easy to read and moved quickly. So many twists and turns I didn’t see coming!

Great book, hadn't read mystery books in a while, so this was good for getting back into the genre. I kinda suspected
the brother to be the killer but the fiance WAS acting weird. I didn't expect Aaron to be the other killer though.

Guessed it

I have mixed feelings. On the positive, I love Karissa Vacker as a narrator, and I think I would have been super annoyed and not enjoyed reading it without her performance. She’s great and she made it much better for me, personally.

I think as a thriller/mystery this was… fine? I found myself super annoyed with some of Chloe’s choices (Daniel lying and lovebombing you from day one was absurd to fall for!! The fact that she let him move in and way gonna marry him that fast was absurd even IF she didn’t have the backstory she did, with it, WILD!). And untimely, he was a lying, manipulative ass regardless and never should have tried to date or approach her knowing who she was and what he himself did!! I def was mostly suspicious of him and the twist while it made sense was also slightly annoying bc there wasn’t a lot of development with him and Chloe and not many hints towards this resolution. For me, a satisfying mystery is one that lies out clues that you CAN follow to some resolution, not a twist that suddenly shows up to say “surprise! Gotcha!” Like, sure, that CAN be fun, but I actually like having my suspicions confirmed and following along more. This sort of had that, in that I am suspicions of ANY man in a thriller that’s close in any way to the main protagonist, but still.

Idk. It left me wanting more on a lot of fronts, but I had a good time hollering abt Chloe’s decision making while going for walks, and Karissa Vacker was a joy to listen to, so, perfectly serviceable.
