Despite some poems being mandatory coursework for me I happily read through this whole collection. The tenderness and brutality combined with beauty and decay is something I find touching and heartfelt. His critique of the urbanisation of humanity is something we can still discuss to this day nearly two hundred years later.

Jenže to bych musela přepsat celou sbírku. ♥

Sweeping survey of the human condition (and the feline's, in a couple of excerpts) that deserves reading as one unit first and isolated pieces after the fact.
