So... I've wanted to read this book for a while, however I couldn't finish it. While it was interesting, I didn't feel like it was the best fit for me. I didn't love reading about hook-ups or getting drunk or whatever. It's probably a good book- I mean, there are a ton of positive reviews- but after about the fourth f-bomb, I had to bow out.

This made me so tremendously sad in seeing how loved she was before she died. I liked the beginning and end the most, but most of the middle stories were ehh.

I'd give this 3.5 stars if I could. She was a very gifted young woman, no doubt about it and knowing the tragedy of her story, and how young she was when she died, makes whatever flaws the writing has forgivable. I enjoyed the fiction pieces more than I did the non-fiction, interestingly. A promising voice - who knows what it might have sung, had she lived.

Hi I really loved this. I kept waiting to stumble across a story/essay I didn’t like, but that never happened (although there were certainly some I liked more than others). I found this collection to be a refreshingly youthful and poignant breath of fresh air.

This is a collection of stories and essays published after Keegan was killed in a car crash shortly after finishing her undergrad degree. The talent displayed here is really noteworthy, especially considering that she never had the chance to give these pieces the final polish she might have wanted before publication. The story behind this book makes her musings about the future, contemplations of death, and insights about light somewhat haunting. She was clearly a very skilled writer that was lost way too soon.

It is so easy to become lost in Marina's writing. I was so thoughtful for her parents to share her brilliant work.

Not only did I enjoy this young lady's writing, the essays and short stories were in separate sections.
