horrible. This book is horrible. What the actual fuck?
Okay, this one was a tad better than the first one as the FMC is a murderer, but what the actual fuck?

This book is so much better than the first in the series. LANA is everything you want in an MFC. She is strong, determined, and not a pushover. Kai, Nathan, and Milo are the best MMC for a why choose. Each are different, but together, they are perfect.
I enjoyed the plot in this book and, at times, would have happily had it a bit longer for the plot. Like I would have been quite happy to read more about their extra activities of unaliving undesirables.
The Smut is there but not in every other page which I liked. The Smut in the last 10% is 🥵.
Cannot wait to start crystals book.

So first scene in the book basically our fmc’s ditsy friend is so excited to see our fmc she runs and hugs her and accidentally pushes her into a fountain but at the last second one of the mmc catches her with one hand… and it felt super wattpad-ish and cheesy.
Not only that but the same mmc who catches her is described like so “But he has one green eye and one icy white one covered by a gnarly looking scar from his brow to his cheek”
*I couldn’t roll my eyes hard enough*
we all know what Zade Meadows looks like
*If you don’t here is how Zade is described “His eyes. One so dark and bottomless. And the other an icy blue so light, it’s nearly white. A scar slashes straight down through the discolored eye”
and I’m sure we all wish we could’ve been the ones to create him, but we are not. Be original.

I stumbled upon this author through booktok with the first novel I picked up called Sick Boys. Very much enjoyed it, to a point. The overkill in s3x scenes took from the story. But, I decided to try Evil boys.
I'm torn to be truthful. While I did enjoy parts of this book, I just don't understand why it is almost a mirror copy, with minor exceptions, to sick Boys. A recurring these of excessive smut as well. I enjoy a good smutty book like the next one when it adds value to the story. In key areas, I loved it. But, I was honestly bored because there's just only so many ways it can be written before it bores the reader.
At the end, when they returned from rescuing Lana....beaten, bruised and bloody....and one recovering from an hours old gunshot...and what happens? A 4 way s3x scene while the fate of a friend hangs in the balance? It's just not believable.
As I said, the journey of Lana with Kai, Nathan and Milo was a roller coaster. Will I read the new one upcoming? No. I'm not invested, nor care for those characters.
Sadly, I won't read further in this series.

After reading Sick Boys, I wasn't sure how I'd feel about Nathan and Kai especially. But man, did this make up for it! I love these books where you can hate characters in one book but then get their story and understand so much more in their own book that it changes your hate to love.
The Characters:
Lana is fantastic! She comes from a powerful family, where she's meant to be the golden child who takes over the family business one day. She's to focus on her studies and stay out of trouble. As stated by both her father, and her overprotective brother, Felix. But Lana has a secret her family doesn't know about. She's a vigilante, destroying evil when she's not studying. She's feisty and full of spunk, making her perfectly capable of handling these evil boys.
Then you've got the boys. They catch her in a house after she's killed (a kill that was supposed to be theirs). Kai is the first to identify her and obsess over her almost instantly. Sneaking into her room, hiding cameras, even hiding under her bed while she has s\e\x with her not-boyfriend (Jason). His obsession and possession are all consuming - I mean, he has to get her off when Jason can't just to prove to her that she belongs to him (not that she knows it's him mind you!) Nathan is a sadist, thriving on taking his anger and violence out on flesh (more often than not, Milo specifically). Normally not into women, this one matches his sadistic ways and captures his attention. And then Milo, the submissive, obedient, masochist who loves the power she radiates and aims to do nothing more than worship her and let her take out all her rage on him.
The Plot:
They're Phantoms, and they stick together no matter what. Nathan's family has been thrown in prison due to their fraud, leaving him and his little sister Rory to fend for themselves. But the men his parents owe still want their money, and Nathan is their way to get it. The 3 boys will steal, kill and do whatever it takes to get the money to ensure Nathan and Rory's safety. When they catch Lana at their kill, they learn her vigilante secret and promise to keep it.... if she gives herself to them. They integrate themselves into her life, popping up everywhere (OH MY GOD THE CHASE SCENE), even extort her. She's ruthless, which only makes them want her more. They're depraved and murderous, slowly coaxing her true self out more and more with every encounter leading her to change her hate to love. They teach her to accept her true nature by loving her dark ways in a way she never thought anyone could. When she meets Rory, the reason behind almost everything these evil boys do, her final resolve breaks. She'll go to hell and back to protect the little girl, including putting herself in a situation that betrays her identity and opens her up to the wrath of the Bonesmen. But she's theirs and nobody else will touch her. However, the same doesn't stand for the friend who was along with her.
I loved to hate these boys in the beginning. Loved them even more in the end!

Nothing Clarissa writes is disappointing. After Felix I wasn’t sure another MMC could be better but these 3 boys stole my heart.
I cannot wait to dive in the last book from this series but also doesn’t want this to end.
