Absolutely loved this! It does not read like a debut novel to me at all. It was so poetic and introspective yet dynamic. Needs more hype for sure.

I struggled a bit to get into this but ultimately found it really rewarding. Bullwinkel deeply explores the embodied experience of being a teenage female athlete, which is not something I often find opportunities to read about. "This body, thinks Iggy, what a weird thing to live in" felt like one of the thesis statements of the book - a relatable sentiment no matter who you are.
