This isn't the worst book I've ever read. But it's down there.
The writing is awful. So many things didn't make sense and were written poorly.
The general plot is okay? It's hard to say because the writing was so bad.
I almost wanted to stop reading at 50% and again at 75%, but it was like a train wreck I couldn't look away from.
Peter Pan himself was simultaneously interesting and weird. I was intrigued by him at first, but there's literally no (or very little) character development, so we never get any answers to any questions. We know as little about him at the end as we do at the beginning.
The other characters kind of have the same problem. We know nothing about them. I mean, we get little pieces but not as much as should have been covered in this first book.
I wanted to barf when they introduced Tink as "Tink Bell" instead of "Tinker Bell." Tinker was just a nickname used at the most awkward of times. Him being half Fae makes sense, but again, we don't get much backstory or development. Just crumbs.
The names Colt and Wesson (or was it changed to Weston in the book? I don't remember and don't really care) were also super cringe. This is just one example of a long list of bizarre and weird and awkward puns the author makes throughout the story, both in the naming of things and in dialogue in general. I don't know, this book was just so weird and bad. Definitely do not recommend.

2 stars but for me it was more like 1.5.
This was definitely not my favorite book I've read this year. I get the impression that the author hasn't experienced or did any real research into some of the scenes in this book. PLEASE CHECK THE TRIGGOR WARNINGS! That being said there were a few scenes that I found to be quite cringy. I'm not yucking anyone yum or k!nk shaming in any way but I just found a lot of this book to be a little too much in a way that comes off as ingenuine.
I will skip the rest of this series despite the "cliff hanger" ending.
I feel like there are much better naughty neverland themed book serios out there!
