3.7 stars. I don't know how I feel about this just yet. It's beautiful written but nothing that specially stands out to me. I'm still new at poetry and I think it went slightly over my head. Might revisit it in another time when I've gotten more used to poetry. But I did find it both compelling and beautiful

translation needs to be better. much more enjoyable in french, with all its poetic nuances.
Meh. Call me a philistine, I just don’t love most French lit and this book is no exception. One added star because the intro was quite well written and I felt I learned about the structure and theming of the poetry, but just not for me at all.
