Baudelaire's poetry has been the greatest discovery this month. I cannot put into words how much I loved these poems, and how they made me feel. I re-read each of them twice or even three times just to be able to take it all in.
I think my copy of this book has more highlighter than text itself, it was just so amazing and beautiful.

Ok, I haven’t read the whole book and every single poem, but I’ve worked around this for a couple of months now in school, and I think it’s safe to say that Baudelaire is indeed very very interesting to read.
He has a taste for the bizarre, and he created art out of the bad, gross and shocking. For example, in one of his poems «Une Charogne», a rotten carcasse becomes the source of inspiration. And in the end, he compares it to his girlfriend! In another poem about wine (he has five of them) I laughed out loud by de description of bottles of wine begging the poet to drink them. In some of his poems, he seems so negative and rude. But in some others, he just appreciates beauty. It’s truly an very interesting combination of poemes in this book.

The sinless paradise of stolen joys,
Is it already far beyond the seas?
Can we recall it with our plaintive voice,
And give it life with silver melodies,
