Finally, a memoir about a woman & her cat!!! I read this book a year after my best friend/kitty died and I needed to revisit those emotions and think about my kitty. It held another great perspective on how to remember our loved ones when they pass and how we cope with that loss. It’s hard not to feel lonely while grieving a pet— Inaba is a nice companion to have.

This book does aptly describe the feelings and experiences of a dedicated pet owner but large swaths of this book were so tedious and I didn’t care enough about their relationship to really feel invested in the gross and boring aspects of the story.
