It was by no means a bad book, and while it does tackle some heavier topics, none of the descriptions are that graphic like in other books I’ve read. If you’re looking for a more introspective read on mental health, how it’s dealt with, and understanding and acknowledging the perspectives of other people, then this would be a good book for you, it just didn’t tick my boxes when it comes to horror/apocalypse books.

body horror and gore typical of zombie media; moderate description of implied postpartum depression; repeated reference to instance of mass murder, not in detail; the pandemic/epidemic takes the form of mass hallucination which may be reminiscent of forms of schizophrenia and/or psychosis, but are not literally intended to be depictions of suchim_a_toothfairy's review against another edition
