I am not one to read a diet book, but as I am currently trying to lower my A1C so I’m not diagnosed with diabetes in a few months, I found this book super helpful. I learned so much about exactly what it means to have a glucose spike and WHY I have them so often. The science in this book was digestible (ha) and easy to understand. I won’t be taking ALL of this advice (miss me with drinking vinegar before every meal) but a lot of it was useful.

I'm normally fine with popscience books that have a lot of anecdotes. This book really felt like it could have been a long blog post though. It was quite repetitive.
It also had a lot of incorrect information or used scientific results to assume outcomes at scale. Plus the author was literally giving anecdotes about people who had gained and needed to lose 15-20lbs which felt a bit silly.
Lots of debunked info but it's short and easy to skim. Some good reminders to eat less sugar, eat lots of veggies, and opt for whole fats
