I love stores about tiny people and their interactions with nature. This one was fine. Some words and ideas didn't connect with me, and all the characters being male except for the nagging mother. 
Adding this one to the collection of stories that inspire me to write my own about magic and nature and little beings and adventure and friendship.

Currently got whimsy and delight flowing through my veins because of this book. Roald Dahl, you will always be famous.

Never read this one as a kid and didn’t know it existed until last night but I enjoyed it. Not as good as other works by him that I’m more familiar with but still very Dahl and that’s comforting to me.
