That was really great! I love the changes in the point of view between the characters. Every sibling is different and has different opinions on what to do. Their different background stories all make sense.

I love how you can understand everybody and don't know for who you should root for. I also liked the magical aspects of the story and I'm curious to see how this trilogy will end.

This damn series is going to be the death of me, I swear
adventurous dark tense fast-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Plot
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Complicated
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

This story doesn't go down. It just continues escalating on awesomeness.

Tiny details that were mentioned on the first part start to appear and develop, some of them mindfucking you gladly.

Convergences, you so want them to happen; to see some characters meeting others, but the author knows how to keep the pace, doesn't rush and delivers when it happens.

Another thing I've loved so far of this series: There are no love arches.
No characters in love with others and wasting pages on romantic sub-plots, there has been a couple of "fuck and go" encounters but nothing resembling a romance. I admire how the author doesn't have to relay on the "romance" tool to develop a story or expand it.

Main characters become even more "grayish", bringing that humanity to them, and being easy to relate to; some may even make you hate them for their decisions and stupidity, but that's what makes a character good? doesn't it? the power to stir emotions within you against them.

Now hoping the conclusion is as good as this predecessors.

¡Tremendo libro!

I didn't have as much listening time as I normally do so it took me quite awhile to finish. This is not a reflection on the book which was fantastic.

Improvement on the first! Much more engrossing.

2.5

Definitely not as good as the first book, but, boy, what a turn of events along the way, we never saw coming. I very much liked the fact that we saw the separate developments of the different characters, especially those toward the last third of the book. I pushed through and did not give up, and, let me tell you, the beginning of the third tome does not disappoint. I'm almost a bit mad that i have to do other things In between:)

Such a solid series. I love the mystery and the world/history of the land. I am looking forward to seeing what's next, and I may do a sort of different reviewish post on my blog!
