This book is good because it was written by Ann patchett and she's a really fantastic author, but I just didn't get into it like I thought I was going to and kind of like I got into some of her other books. It was worth reading though

2.5, the book was alright. I liked the present timeline way more than the past. The MMC from the past stressed me out and the book dragged a bit in places, was hard to get into. I really liked reading about Lara’s family dynamics though.
