A beautiful, quiet start to a story that I can't want to see more of. I love the creature designs, and while this volume just scratches the surface of the lore of this world, I can't wait to learn more!

This tale seemed really interesting, so I figured I'd give it a go. It follows a human girl named Shiva who currently is staying with an Outsider who goes by Teacher. They cannot touch or she will turn into an Outsider, and they are cursed beings.

I couldn't help but be swept away by his compassion toward her and Shiva's innocence. While I really liked volume 1, I needed to know if this was something worth investing in. So... I "flipped to the end" and read spoilers of the last volume. Though I am sure the journey across the volumes is a captivating tale, I don't think my heart can handle it.

The cliff hanger!
I really like the world building and character building so far. Also the aesthetic is killer

Very cute art style in this comic. A little girl and a cursed beast live in the same house, but can never touch. The girl is waiting for her aunt to come and get her. She may have a very long wait. Toward the end there is some danger and suspense.

Takes a while to get going, but I love the beast design. Unfortunately, I probably can't get ahold of the rest, so I guess I'll have to imagine the end of the story.

Let's get the best part about it out of the way first, the art is fantastic. Moody, creepy, interesting, mysterious, all in one. Not to mention the little girl is adorable.

We have a creature that's covered in what looks to be all black mist type stuff. Shiva is the little girl who he has been taken care of. The one rule is she is not allowed to touch him as she will turn into a monster like he is. So through the story you learn why they're being hunted, these creatures, and why Shiva is left in his care.

It's the fairytale like approach the got me hooked here. Almost like reading one of my favorite childhood stories I never knew about at 32 years old. The art is so captivating that I wanted to read more right away. I enjoyed this book a lot despite reading is quickly (Within 15 minutes I was done) and intrigued where we will go from here. A really great first outing.
